Dr.s must be registered with the GMC to practice in the UK. There are different levels of registration and a Consultant is someone who has reached the highest level in their initial training and who has 'specialised' in a chosen area. To carry out eye procedures the Doctor should specialise in 'Ophthalmology' and be on the 'Specialist Registrar'.

Q
How many procedures has the Surgeon performed on eyes with the same presscription as your own and what is the success rate?
Your prescription will be either short or longsighted, with or without astigmatism and your age may also have a bearing on the outcome.
The thickness of your cornea and anatomical dimensions and health of the eye will also need to be taken into consideration. Many laser units have experience of 'routine' prescriptions. Both Mr Aggarwal and Mr Kasaby have successfully treated complex prescriptions as well as 'routine' refractive error. Both surgeons aim for 100% patient satisfaction and hence enhancements are given when deemed appropriate. For specific information relating to numbers of procedures please contact the clinic as this information changes daily.
Results should be considered based on the complexity of the procedure and expected outcome versus the end result. Results to date exceed many leading clinics and a procedure will not be considered unless the expected result offers significant improvement.
